We live in the 21st century, a century of competition. Only the smart ones can win this competition and rule. We are talking about the competition of marketing and business. And in 2021, all businesses are running both offline and online. The online marketplace is a huge platform for grabbing a lot of potential customers for your business. But only the ones that are on top at ruling the online market and profiting. So how do you get on the top of the online marketplace? With SEO.

SEO is one of the key elements of ruling the online market and making your business expand further and increase profit. If you want your business webpage to get more customers, otherwise known as traffic, your webpage should appear at the top of the search page when someone searches for a product that your page sells. How do you get on top of the search results? By improving your webpage SEO.

So, let’s look at SEO. What is it actually? How does it work?

What is S.E.O?

SEO stands for search engine optimization. The true function of search engine is to tell the search engine what your webpage is about. What information does your webpage process and how it is related to the search someone makes?

Suppose you have a web page that sells custom design T-shirts. Your customers can put any design and you will print that on their desired colour T-shirt. If you haven’t actually done any kind of SEO installation, then it is very unlikely that you will get any traffic on your webpage and your business may be at loss. But if you have managed to do SEO installation for your webpage, then you will see traffic activities in your webpage and your business will be profitable. There are multiple ways of installing SEO for your page for free. We will get to that soon.

Multiple web pages can have the same information and products. Search engines use the SEO from those webpages to rank them and the one with the most relevant and accurate SEO is placed on the top of the search result.

There are many online search engines available like Google, Yahoo, and Bing. But research shows that 90% of the web search in the world is done using Google. So, when someone refers to SEO, they meant Google Search Engine Optimization.

Types of SEO

So, we know that SEO is mainly related to the content, words, and links available on your page. So now let’s look at the types of SEO.

There are three types of SEO. White hat SEO, Black hat SEO, and Grey hat SEO.

White Hat

White hat SEO is the most effective type of SEO. It gives you long-lasting results. It is also known as ethical Search Engine Optimization. White hat is performed by following all the rules of a search engine.

The downside of White hat SEO is that it can take a long time, up to 6 months, for providing results. But the results will last for a long time.

So, if you are not in a hurry of making your webpage at the top, then we would recommend you to use White hat SEO for your webpage.

Black Hat

Black hat SEO is the total opposite of white hat SEO. You don’t follow any rules of the search engine. You just stuff a lot of hidden links and keywords on your webpage. This will give your webpage a quick boost and rank on the top. But it won’t last for long. The search engines are smart enough to understand false keywords and when they will identify black hat on your page, they will blacklist it. A blacklisted webpage is impossible to rescue and it won’t appear on the first page of a search result.

So, we would not recommend you to use black hat SEO.

Grey Hat

Grey hat SEO is a hybrid of both white hat and black hat SEO. With a 95% white hat and 5% black hat, this SEO is recommended only for those with high experience and skills in its implementation.

Grey hat SEO provides quick and long-lasting results. It is very unlikely for grey hat SEO webpages to get blacklisted by search engines.

How to improve?

Now let’s talk about how you can improve the SEO of your web page so it can be ranked at the top of Google search.

First of all, we need to work with White hat and Grey hat SEO. We will not use Black hat because it will make our web page blacklisted.

So, there are two ways you can use for improvements, On-page and off-page SEO. In on-page SEO, you have complete control of your work but in an off-page SEO improvement, you will have to rely on other pages and links for your page. So, let’s begin with the on-page SEO. Contact CSG for more information.

On-Page SEO

Before starting with on-page SEO, you need to fix your website. Make sure all the pages are working properly and have accurate information. You have to make them look nicer with beautiful content in an eye-catching theme.

There is a technique for heading. H1, H2, and H3. We have to put the important text on H1. By important we mean the words that can fully summarize your web page. For example, if your website is about selling custom made T-shirts, then in H1, you have to put Custom and T-shirt. Otherwise, your page won’t appear on the Custom T-shirt search results. Then put the other text on H2 and H3 according to their importance. Then you need to create an eye-catching theme for your website using WordPress. That’s it.

Off-Page SEO

Off page is all about content writing and post them on other pages that publish reviews. You simply have to write some good content about the products you sell on your page. You need to attach some links to your page on that content as a hyperlink and mail the author of those pages with your content. If they like your content, they will publish it and your page will do good on the Google ranking.

Conclusion

We live in a world of competition, in which there is no place for the weak. That’s why you need to regularly work on building better SEO for your web page to rule the online market.
